The PA Cares @ President’s Challenge 2024 was a massive community-driven movement that transformed physical activity into social impact. Rather than a traditional race, the focus was on a collective virtual mileage challenge, where every step taken by residents across Singapore contributed toward a grand national goal in support of the President’s Challenge beneficiaries.
Our contribution centered on the centralized virtual tracking ecosystem. This platform allowed thousands of participants to sync their daily steps and walking distances directly from their preferred fitness wearables and apps. By aggregating this data into a live, real-time "Community Progress Bar," we helped visualize the power of collective action, turning individual exercise into a shared philanthropic achievement.
The gamification strategy focused on milestone-based unlocking. As the community hit specific distance targets, corporate sponsors and the People's Association "unlocked" pledged donations. This "Active Giving" model successfully engaged a wide demographic—from seniors in heartland walking clubs to young families—proving that technology can effectively bridge the gap between personal wellness and national charity.
